I had mine done yesterday at the Honda Dealer. I had the '12 Fit in for Oil and Trans service and the pads were at 20%. I could have waited longer but I decided to do it at the same time. I have 31,000 miles on it. We drive irregular distances, sometimes only .2 miles before stopping and then resuming to another close destination. I think that explains why they wore done quickly (3 years, 1 month). Rears drums brakes have 70% left.

That is pretty normal wear if you do a lot of stop and go driving. Changing pads is cheap insurance and your rear shoes should normally last a long time.
