Default Vtec??

Well how does the VTEC work on a 2007 sport???
What causes it to kick in?

When it gets to approx 2500 the ECU signals a solenoid (just to the front of the engine cover on the right of the engine looking from the front. It looks like an old 35mm film canister.) which opens an engine oil pressure passage allowing oil pressure to force a pin into engagement at the rockers.

On the GDs this causes the cam to go up on a higher profile step and makes both intake valves per cylinder open as at lower speeds only one opens.

Is there any way to make it manually controllable?

Easiest way to make it more controllable is to get the new flashpro black box you can then raise or lower the point it engages.

But If you could splice into the control wires and add a ground (most of the new hondas use ground to complete circuits not applied voltage) and a switch I bet you could get it to go.

But it is also control by an oil pressure switch (must have enough pressure) and a signal from the vehicle speed indicator as it is prohibited from engaging with no speed indicated and I'm not sure if they come in before the ECU can send to ground signal or after the ECU sends the signal.

What are you trying to accomplish?
