Looking at all the different languages on that cap, I think they were just covering their bases.

I think the second Asian script language might be Korean. It's probably chinese made as we have a LOT of their stuff sold around here. But it works just fine no matter where it's from.

And when they start manufacturing Fit in Mexico, it will say, !Advertencia. I prefer Warnung, after seeing what happened to the VW Bug.
I recently bought a heavier splitting maul as the six pounder was a bit too light for my husband. I looked at the local farm co-op and the hardware store. I had a choice of "made in Taiwan" or, "made in Mexico". Mexico isn't known for steel manufacturing, (similar to Italy, as our Italian-made tiller can attest). I chose the one made in Taiwan. Overall design of head looked better.

Taiwan manufactures many excellent items which is more on a par with Japanese quality. Taiwan and mainland China are very different--although some people think they are the same.

True. I think most Americans forget this about China. Yeah, my husband has had to remind me twice that Taiwan and mainland China, are different, which is why Beijing had their eye on this coveted prize, formerly Formosa.
I snatched up the maul as it is getting harder to find things made in Taiwan.
