Wow, time sure does fly! Seems like it was just a short time ago when you first put that tape on.
Glad to see it is still looking good! The tape on my Fit still hasn't faded yet , and it's been on for something like 5 years now(?)

Last edited by macbuddy; 10-21-2013 at 02:55 PM. Reason: As of 9/17/12, tape was on for 5 years, not 6 yrs as I had previously stated.

I like the reflective tape concept!

Might do something along those lines on our Fit....the unpainted plastic on the stock grill is fading. So, it will be coming off anyway.

Boooooo BAD NEWS !! Some evil bastard slit the tape in the logo with some sharp instrument!!

While washing my Jazz found that the tape had been cut in two spots.

You can see the two slits here.

So I took advantage of the situation and made a new red logo insert from the very last bit of tape Macbuddy sent me it's all gone now.

At the same time painted the gold logos both front and read. The gold tinted logos have been on my Jazz for over 8 years and the two large "H" ones had faded pretty bad but the "Jazz" one and VTEC still look pretty good.

That small white spot on the inside of the lower part of the logo is just a piece of ash from my cigarette.

How do you remove the H to get the tape behind it?

^^ from Post 1:

I took the back hatch cover off and removed the rear hatch piece with the logo and cut off the clips that hold the logo in place.

Yea when the original one was on it I had to take the cover off and remove the clips. But When I installed the gold tinted one I just didn't install the clips so now I just take some dental floss and pull it behind the logo to "Cut" the super glue that holds it on now.

NOT TOO MUCH I just use like 4 SMALL dabs two in the post holes and two at the edge and it's been on for a long time and never had it come off.

I found a fresh section of Red reflective tape in the garage, so I replaced the tape that I put on several years ago. The new tape is much brighter/reflective than the worn/peeling tape. BTW, I went back to check when I first did this mod. It turns out that I did this nearly 6 years to the day!
