Default DIY: covers for removed headrest holes

This is a real simple one that anybody can do.

I have removed my rear headrests as nobody ever sits back there anyways and the improvement in rear view is amazing.

Nice but you end up with those ugly looking holes in the top on the seat. so this one will show you a very simple method to cover them up.

UGLY old holes

The solution

Simple old carriage head bolts from the local hardware store less than a buck.

You could use them without cutting but being the perfectionist I am I cut them off with a hacksaw and ground the cut ends so they had just enough length to slide in and not bounce out.

Mine had some markings on the head of the bolt so I filed them off to make a nice smooth head and painted them with flat black.

Looks like factory parts. And if you know you are going to be having passengers in the back seat it takes just a few seconds to pull them out and put the headrests back in.

Was wondering the same thing as on the GE there is no rear view blockage from the headrests. Nice neat solution.
