It costs at least $10K to design and manufacture a mold for casting. Look at the retail prices for their catalog bushings. How many Fit front sway bar bushings would they have to sell just to break even? Keep in mind that changing the front bushings is a giant PITA. Not many of us are willing to do it (but I am!).

I am too, but its a shame that a lot of Fit owners aren't willing to do anything besides change the exterior of the car. I want to get the most out of my Honda Fit and especially after watching a Canadian Fit tear up the track a couple of times when he came down I'm more than inspired.

Since you have a 2008 and this thread is for 2009-2010 Fits you can usually find people who will sell their progress rear sway bar for cheap. Sway bars for the newer Honda Fits are harder to come by in the sense that no one had them before and I am one of a couple I believe running a Ultra Racing rear sway bar.

It's about $150 from most retailers.

$140. direct from www.progressauto.com, a little less from their dealers. Look at recent posts in the "Newbie" forum-- member erik found a dealer selling them for $131. with free shipping, and he ordered his bar today from that vendor.

Manxman,

As always, you do a wonderful write up on the installation of the Progress rear sway bar!

I have them on my webstore now.

Tony,

It is great to see you here!

Thanks for the compliment, and I'm glad for the Fit market that you stock these now. For all of our forum members, when the Progress home office in Anaheim, CA, runs out of their Fit sway bars and is busy making more but can't ship yet, New Edge Performance usually has them in stock. Tony offers good prices and excellent customer service. This is a vendor that you can trust.

Dave
