Default I'm part Frankenstein LOL

Warning: If you get squeamish about blood and cuts do NOT look any further.

Here are some photos of the aftermath of my recent surgery and why I'm hobbling around on crutches for the next 5 weeks.

Under the zipper cut is a metal plate with 6 screws into the bone to hold a piece that was broken off and raised up to tighten up the space where the cartilage is.

They even gave me a wallet sized photo ID to show the TSA jerks while passing through the security area at airports.

Scroll down

Here is the card:

This is the result. The bruising looking stuff is just left over blood and the solution they use to blow up the area around the joint for the cutting and it will go away with time. It goes down to the foot from gravity LOL.

Actually I do need to keep it elevated and wrapped in those crape bandages to force it up. It looks bad but really not too much pain.

HA free at last. Doc said it was ok the not use crutches anymore. And that walking a lot is actually good for my legs recovery.

So I did 3 laps of my compound vs my normal 10 but it was real nice to be out in the sun enjoying nature.

Doc had x-rays taken and was amazed at my progress. He said "you heal like a 20 year old."
