Thanks AC7880, but I would never replace new tires. I'll live with the road noise. You loose tremendous trading a new car for another. I like everything about the Fit but the road noise. Thanks for your input.

David,

For $110 you could do a trial run on sound deadening. I'd start with the doors and maybe front kick panels, perhaps rear hatch as well. http://www.raamaudio.com/ How to link on the previous page. I may do that myself in the future.

After installing a cargo cover in the rear of my Fit Sport, the interior quieted considerably. The tire noise, mine has Bridgestones, is intrusive, though on smooth black top, the car is relatively quiet. On concrete surfaces the tire noise is more pronounced. The automotive press knocks Honda/Acura for cabin noise in nearly all vehicles.

Maybe the problem is the poor quality of many roads in the US.
